Introduced as an alternative form of currency, Goldbacks use 24-karat gold and modern design techniques. They serve both as a way to spend and as items of interest for collectors. The 2025 expansion includes the new Oklahoma Goldbacks. One of the newer denominations added in 2025 is the 2 Goldback, an option that debuted in the Florida Goldback Series.
